Treatly Cat Logo

Logo & Branding

Role

Brand Designer

When the Treatly dog treat brand began exploring an expansion into cat products, I was tasked with developing a matching logo for a potential feline product line. The goal was to create a companion mark that felt instantly recognizable as part of the Treatly family, while clearly representing cats in a way that was cute, confident, and retail-ready.

To develop the cat logo, I used a photo of my own cat, Nacho, as the foundation. Using clean vector shapes, I constructed the cat's face to mirror the friendly, approachable tone of the original dog logo (created by an outside agency). I closely matched the style, weight, and colors of the original mark, ensuring the two logos could live side by side on shelves or packaging while still distinguishing dog from cat.

The final cat logo was presented in multiple styles—solid fill, outlined, and single-color versions—just like the original. I also created a mock-up of the logo on a stand-up pouch for cat treats, as well as a large-scale tradeshow wall graphic that showcased the full Treatly dog product line.

This project demonstrates my ability to create brand-consistent extensions that honor an existing visual system while introducing a fresh, character-driven identity, and I'm proud to say that my design was selected among submissions from the whole in-house design team at PetWise.
